• Alteração experimental de rochas ígneas, metamórficas e sedimentares com vista à sua utilização como rocha ornamental.

• Ensaios de alteração laboratorial de rochas simulando atmosferas poluídas, chuvas ácidas, partículas poluentes e atmosferas salinas e suas implicações tecnológicas.

• Estudos de alteração de rochas aplicadas no património edificado recente e antigo.
